I also get different ideas of topics to write about based on what I see happening around me and new concepts I come across. I’m constantly looking for new viewpoints on subjects that I already have an opinion on. If those new ideas challenge my old thoughts on something, I’ll try to find an explanation. I’ll go back and forth trying to get a conclusive solution to the seeming quandary, when both sides seem to have an answer. Often, there is no conclusion that I can come to, other than, as I previously wrote, there are differing viewpoints on the matter.
I try to explain both sides, but I understand that I almost never have all the information to have a conclusive answer. This is the main reason why I don’t have a firm stance in most politically charged situations, ranging from a dispute between neighbors to those on a global scale.
It’s obvious that each side generally knows that they’re correct, and those who don’t believe like them must be mistaken. Personally, I try to hear from different angles and make a decision about the issue, but often, I have to just tell myself that there are many factors that may be leading to decisions that people have made which I’m not privy to, so I end up telling myself that I don’t have a firm conclusion one way or the other.
