When Mentors Do Wrong

Years ago, I heard that somebody whom I had a lot of respect for was caught doing something which is widely known known as a crime. That made me think: If this person, for whom I had held in such high esteem, could do something so heinous, how could I, in good conscience, follow what I’d learned from him?

This question bothered me for a long time, but after a few months, I had a realization. For years, I’d been hearing that Nobody’s Perfect, that Everybody Makes Mistakes, ye it never really meant anything to me. Now I could see a practical use for these nostrums.
