For example: For years, you’ve been getting the message that If You Try, You’ll Succeed. On the surface, that seems to ring hollow. However, there is tons of research describing how the ability to stay focused on a task long after someone with a passing interest in the subject has given up plays a large factor in your success. If you’re truly interested in something, and are willing to put in the time and energy to really acquire a certain skill, learn a craft, or specialize in a subject, it very likely will pay dividends.

Later in this blog, I will bring up commonplace ideas that you may be inclined to dismiss off-hand. But if you’re willing to really think about it, you can often see how they apply to your own life and see how they might help in different situations.
