College or Not? 2

It seems to me that college should always be something that’s leading to an end point. It doesn’t make sense to just go for a few semesters and decide on a major through the variety of courses that you generally take for an undergraduate degree. It seems like a complete waste of money and time.
Instead of doing that, it seems to make more sense working for a very minimal alary (if you get one at all) at a business that is already in the field you think you’d enjoy. That way, you can start at the very bottom (mailroom, stock boy) and get some experience.
From that point, there only 2 directions: The first is deciding that the job isn’t something you’d like doing, and you can quit, no harm done. The other option is to really become interested in what the company you’re working for is doing, and then you can go to school (if need be), and if you do the job well, your superiors might be willing to help you out with finances while you go to school with the goal of working for them at a higher level when you finish. With luck, they may even tell you that you don’t require an official Masers’ Degree, and they’ll you decide which classes are really
